Rachel Pollack is the author of 24 books, including 78 Degrees of Wisdom, The Complete Illustrated Guide To Tarot, and The Shining Tribe Tarot, a deck based on tribal and prehistoric art from all over the world.Rachel has written the texts for Salvador Dali's Tarot, the Haindl Tarot, and the Vertigo Tarot. As well as writing about Tarot and divination she is a poet and novelist. Her novel Godmother Night won the 1997 World Fantasy Award. Her earlier novel, Unquenchable Fire, won the 1988 Arthur C. Clarke Award. Her sixth novel--and first mystery -- A Secret Woman, has just been published. Her book on Tarot and sacred mysteries, A Walk In The Forest: Tarot and Soul, will be published in September 2002.
