Lights! Arcana! Action!
with Thalassa

Thalassa

We who love the Tarot know that it has a myriad of uses (it's a floorwash! it's a familiar!). However, when we use it in divination, it is all too easy to get bombarded with a surfeit of information and insights. In the cascade of data a point may be reached in a reading when the querent may want to ask, “What the heck do I DO with all this information?” Equally often, in the afterglow of a reading we may want to give the querent a “toolbox” to help use the information of the reading more effectively.

Spend a few hours in Thalassaland (an enchanted place, with a water feature) working on techniques to make Tarot a verb of the action variety. We will look at not merely answering questions but moving forward from the divining table with dynamic, useful action items. Epiphanies included at no additional charge.

SATURDAY, May 2nd 9–11 pm
Tuition: $35 paid directly to the instructor

THALASSA is the producer of the San Francisco Bay Area Tarot Symposium — the oldest established, permanent floating Tarot Symposium in the world — and founder of the Daughters of Divination (DOD). She has been living, working and playing with the Tarot for over 40 years (she was an infant prodigy).

She is also active in the production of Pagan and Divination events across the country, and her writing has been published iu a wide range of publications, including the Llewellyn Tarot Reader almanacs since their inception.

She has been involved in standup comedy, choreography, and stage management, and currently teaches improvisation and physical characterisation for performers of Renaissance and Victorian festivals. Her other interests include historical recreation, needlework, plotting global domination, and small furry mammals. Thalassa lives in San Francisco with her long-suffering husband, a herd of semi-feral dustbunnies, a sword collection, and more Tarot cards than is safe to assemble in one place. She insists that she really is working on a book (on Tarot, of all things). More information about Thalassa and the Daughters of Divination may be obtained by visiting www.dodivination.com
